Introduction
I am a busy working Mum so quick, simple recipes that make a scrumptious meal are essential and this book is full of mealtime winners from cosy suppers to dinner party showstoppers!
Venison is a sustainable, healthy red meat and the good news is you don’t have to be a fancy cordon bleu chef to cook it. I am a self-taught, farmhouse cook so can relate to everyone at home who is keen to create dishes which are exciting and different but not too tricky.
Offering so many different cuts, Venison is incredibly versatile and is happily married to traditional flavours as it is with more modern, dynamic flavours and ingredients. It is no longer the old-fashioned meat of game hunters and I am passionate about encouraging people to use it whether it is in simple recipes like Lasagne or experimenting with spices from the Orient or the Middle East.
